Beach Dream

If you like the best, Beach Dream is for you...it's EXTRAORDINARY! Every detail has been beautifully executed, from the porcelain tile floors to 10' ceilings in the bedrooms and the vaulted cypress tongue and groove ceilings in the great room. One of the only 4-bedroom houses that is directly on the beach! TWO MASTER SUITES with KING SIZE BEDS!

Beach Dream is a luxurious beachfront house finished in January 2009 with all new tropical furnishings, so it's still in great shape. It has 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms with a fully-furnished gourmet kitchen, stainless steel appliances and filtered water throughout the house. The house offers an open floor plan including an island with bar stools and a dining room table that seats 8, making Beach Dream perfect for family dinners and entertaining. There is a wall of windows in the great room and dining room overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the gorgeous pink/white sand beach that stretches for miles. The beach house is elevated and offers panoramic views from the large front deck of the wrap around porch.

Great Guana Cay

Great Guana Cay is a barrier island in the Abaco chain of islands in the Bahamas. The third largest barrier reef sits just off shore, offering unlimited snorkeling and SCUBA diving opportunities. A gorgeous reef is right in front of the house that is perfect for snorkeling and is only a short swim away with an easy beach entry. The island has about 150 residents but there are quite a few second homeowners and visitors. Guana Cay is a beautiful tropical island with gorgeous beaches that are never crowded and the color of the water is unbelievable! It is secluded yet has all the necessities.

There are several restaurants and bars, as well as a well-stocked grocery store and a liquor store. World-famous Nipper’s Beach Bar and Grill has very good food and they are family-friendly with a swimming pool. It’s always fun and people come from all of the neighboring islands to visit, especially on Sunday afternoon for the weekly pig roast. Grabber's Bar & Grill is fun, too and a great place to watch the beautiful Guana sunset. Beach Dream is within walking distance to all the fun.

It's easy to get Guana Cay.

Once you arrive at the Marsh Harbour airport and clear customs, grab a taxi (very easy, they're waiting out front) about 5-10 minutes to the Guana ferry dock. The ferry runs 5 times a day and it’s a short, 30 minute scenic ride to Guana Cay where you will be met by our caretakers. They will take you by golf cart to Beach Dream and get you settled in to your beachfront paradise!

Things to Do

Pack your snorkel and dive gear…a spectacular reef is right off the beach in front of the house. Dive Guana offers full service PADI scuba diving and snorkeling trips. Dive Guana also has any gear you need...the water is very clear and the diving is gorgeous. If you would like to rent a boat during your vacation, we highly recommend the boats at Dive Guana. It’s conveniently located on Guana Cay and they rent nice 20ft. to 26ft. boats for fishing, diving or exploring and are reasonably priced.

We recommend a trip with Edmond Pinder towards the beginning of your stay that will help you learn the area if you’re going boating. He is a good fishing guide on Guana Cay with a good sense of humor and has fished the area for over 50 years.  He does guided trips on your rental boat (or he can arrange for you) that can include harvesting conch and spearing lobster and doing a shore lunch, or excursions to swim with the pigs, besides catching fish…just tell him what you have in mind and he’ll take good care of you.  He fishes for snapper, grouper, yellow-tail, etc. on the Sea of Abaco, so it’s usually gentle enough for everyone in your group.  You can find him at Kidd’s Cove Restaurant & Bar that he runs with his son, Forrest.

World-famous Nipper’s Beach Bar and Grill is family-friendly with a swimming pool and consistently excellent food. It’s always fun and people come from all of the neighboring islands to visit, especially on Sunday afternoon for the weekly Pig Roast Party. Friday nights are also popular for Chicken-In-Da-Bag or Conch. Don’t forget Grabber’s for dinner and to watch the spectacular sunsets....and join visitors and second-homeowners on Wednesday night for Pot Luck. Kidd's Cove Seafood & Bar is cooking up daily specials and sushi. Another option is Orchid Bay Yacht Club & Marina which has a nice restaurant Sunsetter that features Rib Night on Saturdays and Wing Night on Thursdays, as well as a full-service marina. Beach Dream is within walking distance to everything, but it’s fun to rent a golf cart for a day or two to explore the entire seven mile island.
